In the first phase of Barisal Sadar Upazila Parishad election, motorcycle marker chairman candidate and general secretary of Barisal Press Club SM Zakir Hossain said in his election road meeting that voters can vote for their preferred candidate as there is no party symbol in this election. In the road meeting held at Charkaramji area of Charkaua Union on Sunday afternoon, he also said that there is a strong commitment from the government and the Election Commission to ensure free, fair and impartial polls. People of Barisal also want to exercise their right to vote. Chairman candidate SM Zakir Hossain said, "I am not talking; Believe in work. If you think me worthy, then vote for my motorcycle brand.
